Anime Zero Beginner Guide

Redeem codes → claim group rewards → roll a Legendary → fill both slots → first skill token → Story clear

Step 1: Claim everything free first

Your starting rolls and currency decide how strong your first build is, so collect everything the game hands out before spending a single spin. Redeem every working code — the launch batch alone pays Lucky Spins, Trait Rerolls, Coins and Gems. Then join the official LY* Roblox group and talk to the NPC Bob at the food truck to claim the group reward: 500 Gems, 5,000 Coins and 10 Lucky Spins.

Step 2: Roll until you have a Legendary

Head to the Arsenal and spend your spins. You won't have many at first, so aim for at least one Legendary (8.89%) rather than chasing the rarest pull — Legendary is enough power to start clearing content. With the current code haul you will likely go further: the pity system guarantees a Mythic at 175 spins, and codes like 50KCCU (500 Lucky Spins) blow past that. Rarity does not equal comfort — test attack speed, ability range and the ultimate before committing resources. See the tier list for which rolls to keep.

Step 3: Fill both weapon slots

Equip a weapon in each of your two slots before entering a dungeon. During a run you can switch with T — using one weapon's crowd control before dealing damage with the other. Switching grants +20% damage for 4 seconds, so time swaps for boss windows. Any two weapons give +5% damage; named pairs give more (see synergies).

Step 4: Spend your first skill token on damage

Every weapon has its own skill tree covering Attack, Critical chance, Defense and Speed. You start with one token: spend it on the damage node for an immediate +15% damage before your first run. Later nodes cost progressively more. Prioritize damage and crit; move points into defense only if you keep dying — staying alive long enough to deal damage matters more than raw numbers while learning.

Step 5: Set a working enchant or trait

Visit the Enchanter (Matilda) to roll traits — passive stat bonuses. Early on, aim for Power (flat damage). Do not burn all your currency chasing a perfect roll in your first minutes; one useful damage trait is enough to start. As resources build, hunt Supernova, Hunter and Deadeye — see the trait reroll guide for the systematic approach.

Step 6: Clear Story mode on Easy

Story is the controlled setting to learn the game: acts grow harder chapter by chapter, each ends on an act boss, and clears reward crafting materials. Pick Easy while learning the map, then climb. Combat rewards positioning over button-mashing — dash constantly, spam abilities (no mana system), learn your weapon's combo pattern, and respect boss attack animations. A full run breaks into zones: clear the waves, move to the next zone, face the boss.

After your first clear

Spend rewards between runs, not during: claim run and milestone rewards, put skill tokens into your problem stat, craft an accessory that covers a weakness, and bank Trait Rerolls for a targeted hunt. Then start Nightmare Story repeats for evolution materials — the evolution guide lists every bill. Save spins from new codes toward the pity thresholds: Mythic 175, Arcane 350, Lyth 3,500.

Beginner FAQ

What should I do first in Anime Zero?

Redeem all codes, claim the group reward from Bob at the food truck (500 Gems, 5,000 Coins, 10 Lucky Spins), roll until you have at least one Legendary weapon, fill both slots, spend your first skill token on the damage node, then clear Story on Easy.

Which weapon should a beginner use in Anime Zero?

Whatever Legendary or Mythic you roll first — codes give enough spins that most players start with a Mythic within their first session. Immortal Sovereign is the friendly Mythic (brute force, self-sustain, dodge). Among Epics, Rubber Man's fast combos are fine for the first acts.

What difficulty should I farm in Anime Zero?

Always Nightmare Story once your build can clear it — significantly more XP and better materials per run. Drop to Hard if Nightmare clears are taking too long; a slow clear loses to two fast ones.

How do I get more spins in Anime Zero?

Codes are the biggest source by far — the October 2026 list pays tens of thousands of Lucky Spins. After that: level milestones, quests, achievements, the AFK Chamber and raid clears.
